Each of us are responsible to God for how we live our lives. Each of us will give an account to the Lord for how we walk in this new life.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive teh things done in his body, according to that he that done, whether it be good or bad.
But the Bible has made it clear that the members of the house of God are to look to their overseers for council and advice, and are watch them in their daily lives.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Everything rises and falls upon leadership, as Guy King made clear when he wrote:
Looking back upon all that has been written here, we remark again how high a level of life is demanded of those who have been called to leadership in the ways and things of God.[I]
Those to whom we would entrust to care and lead His house should exemplify what it means to walk in the Spirit.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
And after the pattern of Christ.
1 John 2:6
He that saith be abideth in him ought himself also to walk, even as he walked.
May those who have the oversight, have lives that cry out to us.
1 Corinthians 11:1
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
